Introducing the world's first plug and play secure remote file access USB device. Available from www.itwin.com Effectively, it's like an unlimited capacity USB flash drive. Simple and secure connection between any two online computers, anywhere in the world. Available online from iTwin.com from 10.10.10 (Oct 10, 2010).
Access the complete hard drive of your remote machine from any computer anywhere. Before, connecting two computers used to be painfully complicated. Now it's as simple as plugging in the two ends of a cable, without the cable. Simply plug the two halves of iTwin into any two online computers and you're sharing. Copy, back-up or remotely edit files on one computer from the other. In either direction.
Initial launch in Singapore. Available in USA before end 2010.

  • Company come out nice device but no password need two use device are twin Any way what going be if you lost one Fuc... big time some You find and they plug play device They say no password need is for PC and MAC Two usb are secure 100% they say whatever They no WiFi u must use laptop or Desktop with internet U Must use security internet every think today is about internet This twin go for $100 Let see what experience people going bring and future !

  • @VOYTASNY hi Voytsany, you can optionally set a password for your iTwin device if you wish :-)

If you lose one half, there are several ways to break the connection between the two halves - you can either unplug one half, (which instantly breaks the connection), or you can remotely disable the connection from any Internet connected device (like yoru smartphone or any computer). If you find the other half again, you can pair it with the half you have. You can try it, see iTwin.com

  • New iTwin intro video coming to YouTube later today!

  • Been in the New York Times, the International Herald Tribune and the Wall Street Journal all in the past week!

  • Why would i spend money on a physical device that could break when i could get a software solution aka dropbox that granted could break but its not my responsibility when it does.

  • @madman1391 hi there. you can use software if you like. sometimes though it's nice to have the security that hardware brings. iTwin is a hardware device, with AES256 hardware token security. If you lose one half you can remotely disable it. You can optionally set a password, if you want, for 2 factor security. But without a password, it's still very secure. If you lose the key, (ie half of your iTwin) you can disable it. But if your passwd is stolen, u might not even realise it's gone.

  • one word dropbox

  • hi madman1391: a physical device is secure because it doesn't rely solely on a password. Humans in general tend to use weak passwords, re-use passwords, and generally exercise poor password management.

hi chubbz420 and bgwh97: everyone can choose for themselves. Some solutions are better for some circumstances. With iTwin, there's a one-off payment, and that's it. With many online storage services, there's a free allowance, and after a certain threshold had been exceeded, monthly fees kick in.

  • How dare you use "i" in this device. Dont you know Apple owns "i" :-p

  • Nice product.

The music in that video is sooo great!

Would it be possible to know the title and artist???

    Thanks

  • There are so many disadvantages to this device over other methods I can't fit them in this box without running out of characters. Most of the people excited about your product don't fully understand how it works. Your marketing is uneccessarily misleading and most people think the two halves communicate with each other wirelessly in some way. I don't deny this will sell to the odd tech geek with more money than sense but, I don't see it having massive returns for you to be honest.

  • do u have to be connected to the internet to access ur data?(or vice versa)

  • @ngwh97 hi there, yes that's a great service. each has its advantages. iTwin has a one time cost, after which you can access, copy, backup or remotely edit AS MANY FILES AS YOU WANT. There is no capacity limit and no monthly fees -ever. The service you mention does have a capacity limit after which a monthly fee kicks in.
