He tok a vacation, so it is not true that he left his state affairs.
Tue, he lieds about his wherabouts and may have spent state funds to pay this private trip.
If that is true, he should be sentenced for that.
I just say that his love life is NOT a reason to quit.
If he really used public money fo pay his flight, that is another issue.

I know this reflects bad on Sanford and the Repugs, but there is a very subtle undercurrent here..............Wives better be taking care of the homefront and love and fuck their husbands, well because there is a whole continent below us, that have some super hot women that WILL take care of him if you don't. People are human and sex/love is a powerful motivator. Like it or not we are all susceptible, or better put most of us are.

Sanford should resign because he's a hypocrite and it would be the honorable thing to do. He went AWOL for a week and apparently lied to his wife about his whereabouts. I'll bet that the SC state employment guide has conditions denoting job abandonment. In many situations three days in a row absentism is grounds for dismissal.
