  • You got the name of the song WRONG.

William Tell Overture and Bonanza TV theme song are two different songs and NOT the same. The last part of William Tell Overture, known as Charge of the Swiss Soldiers, was used as theme song in the Lone Ranger, but not in Bonanza. Don't get confused.

In the video, the musician is playing Long Range (William Tell finale) in the first part but half way through he switches to the Bonanza theme song.

  • @barrhavener Howdy. The description under the video clearly says "Rossini's William Tell Overture AND Jay Livingstone's Bonanza Theme." It's a medley of two musical works.

  • Howdy. This medley is very easy to play. It's mostly rolling Scruggs style. One or two little melodic style runs. IT'S JUST FAST :) Send me your email for a copy of the tabs.

    Bill

  • Howdy. I can't post my email address here, but you can find it on my website. Just email me your address. Bill

  • Hello wideyess,

Yes it is. It was composed by Rossini. The TV show Bonanza which ran in the 1960's had an original theme that I've always felt was "inspired" by the William Tell Overture. Cheers, Bill

  • Howdy,

Send my your email to billknopf@billknopf and I'll send you a scan of the tab.

  • Howdy Bill. How you play is amazing. I first tried to figure it out on my own, but somehow I'm lost now. For being close to your "original" could you please send me the tabs to my mail account: danwilliams@hotmail.de

Greetings from your fans in Germany.

  • I LOVE THIS!! Im only 23 but grew up watching Bonanza with my Dad. One question, would you say its different/harder on banjo? Because I can play this on guitar, but banjo sounds so much more authentic

  • Earl could never play that.

  • Awesome tune man, Any way i could get the tabs to this tune? Thanks.Email is greg420911@yahoo.com
