That looks remarkably good!!

@jenzeppelin I'm standing firm that it would make a good breakfast too! :) Milk, fruit, crust. Can't go wrong. Oh good on the temp thing. Thank you! That makes so much more sense. It's going in my 'must make' file! Plain yogurt is always a good sub for sour cream and seems to keep longer.

Tasty looking pie, Jen! Very fruity! I do like almonds and I'm not allergic to those!

@lost2fairyfate Yes! :) I used to work in a veterinary clinic, so I get called upon more often than not when someone finds themselves stuck. I've cared for everything from cats to rats in my home, and, various wild animals at a clinic as well. They are soooo cute it is unbearable, but, they key is a) NOT to name them and b) find them new families immediately, as soon as they are old enough to be homed, lol. My cats will be happy to have the attention back on them when they leave, lol.

Extra note: For people who are allergic to nuts, one can make this topping using oatmeal in lieu of the chopped nuts.

Just as I was BEGGING you to show a slice, you finally did! *Smile* It is a beautiful pie and I promise you that if I weren't out of plain yogurt or had sour cream, it's what I would have made for breakfast! Is 100 right? That's only 212F and seems very low. Oh golly that looks good. I'm pretty sure I could smell it - excellent photography.

@thizizliz :) Oops! I just noticed in the frame with the baking directions, the font appears to say 100, but it actually says 400. I should have made the font larger, the 4 is very thin and hard to see, looks like a 1. Sorry about that! :) When I laid this pie out, it literally disappeared within one hour. I had one slice, my oldest had two and my youngest had one. Gone. Big slices perhaps, but, it's light and goes down well. Wonderful pie to make any time of the year. :)

@thizizliz I never thought to make it with plain yogurt, but, you're right, that would work well, it makes a wonderful substitute. :) Fantastic idea!
