  • "Hey - I need a few of you guys to come over here and just lean on the counter weight for me!"

Sometimes I've been in a situation where the tracks will slip forward a bit when pulling the stick in - "Can you come over here for a minute and just put your foot against the track for me?"

  • how about those deadly words you always hear someone say right before they run into a dangerous trench "ill just jump in there and do it real quick!!!!!!"

  • msha and osha wouldn't care for the corrective measure lmao. Sorry I just work for a very safety conscious company so I always think of these things... Before I worked for my father that has a small excavating business and like most the world we just made due with what we had... but doesn't make it "safe"

  • lol theres no doubt about that this is a less than ideal thing to do. it was either do this or go home and leave 50 residents out of water until we had an "approved" method. life gave us lemons so we made lemonade that day

  • just need a heavier counter weight :X

  • lol we ended up chaining the backhoe to the rear end of the loader to help hold it down but in reality its just a lesson on why stupid ass "wanna be" contractors shouldnt be allowed to pour ridiculous amounts of concrete around stuff and leave it for the rest of us professionals to fix

  • Slide the chains closer to the back of the forks and it's a non issue...

  • @Hduppln I find striking similarities in regards to working as an Information Technologist having to clean up work done by those that don't know nearly as much as they should.

Seems parallel's like that are everywhere.

  • you just needed to move the straps all the way in on the forks...

  • LoL,

reset the chain closer, and the labors telling him to go up.
