jadams? JDAMs are GPS guided bombs. You probably mean JATOs(Jet Assisted Take Off).

Its amazing that at one time you needed a mile or two of runway to take off but now we have jets that don't need a runway at all.

Did they got of the carrier without JATO/RATO's? Probally not that much MTO on a carrierdeck with a C130
