my brother is about 2 go into high school and is thinking about joining the gymnastics team, oviously its better to start early but he already has simple flips down and uppy body strenght do you think he should go out for it??

Nice job! My son was competing at this meet as a level 9. He'll be a 10 this year and when he watched this video he was pumped!! Good Luck in 2009!

Of course he should go out for it. Just note that what you were viewing here are kids that started in gymnastics at the age of 8 or 9. Gymnastics is a sport that through the workouts and conditioning translates into other sports as well. Hope he gives it a shot. In CA. most high schools do not offer gymnastics. Everything is done at the club level.
