  • Hey man, really, really good job! I enjoyed this.

Would like to see you relax a bit more, loosen up. I think you are 99% there. Just be a bit looser. Be confident. You know the chart. You have it memorized! Now slam it home! Make it yours!

  • @AllStarBugler well, i wish you would've made that comment about 18 months ago. it would have saved me arm rehab, lol. not relaxing caused calcification of the connective tissues in my elbows and almost ended my playing for good. i had to learn to relax the hard way(along with needles in the elbow joint and electro-muscular therapy). many drummers don't realize how important relaxation is. but thanx for the comment and great observation.

  • you really nailed his technique on that one. can you play quadrant 4?

  • actually, yeah i can. it was one of the first (and probably one of the easiest ) songs i learned on that album. i was already playing double bass-boogie stuff back then so that song was a no brainer to learn.

  • Wow! Great! I like your snare sound! I wondered how many arms do you have

  • @oclero the snares i use are Puresound snares. they actually enhance the sound of the drum. i also removed all of the hardware and coated the inside of the snare drum with 3 coats of krylon clear laquer. Gretch as well as Ford drums coat the inside of their drums with some kinda sealer or laquer or whatever so i decided to try it and it worked. you can use wood hardener as well as polyurithane or spray on shellac. they all have different sound qualities so it depends on what you want.
