X107.9FM - the one and only true alternative. First heard 'em back in 1999. It was really hard to get a decent signal. Remember hearing BOC 'Aquarius' repeatedly and rushing ear right up to speaker to try to get track details. Didn't quite manage to, but one Friday headed into a record shop on O'Connell Br which used to stock Warp and lo-and-behold there it was, the BOC Peel Sessions 12". BOC comp LP 'MHTRTC' remains my all time favourite along with 'Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables'

I keep bumping into people who say: "Xfm? yeah I used to listen to them all the time" We must have had f***in half of Dublin listenin at one stage. We just thought we were the only listeners.

I know what you mean. I taped the shows a lot and gave copies to friends who couldn't pick up the station all the time.
People couldn't believe 'Le Frog' Valerie was an actual D.J.... :D

yes LeFrog and the chillage idiots are still going on xfm. We will have a new line up ready to go again a about 2 weeks.
