In her 'ecosystem" they get run over by cars, killed by hunters and loose dogs. They get sick and have trouble finding food and hunted by predators. She is happy where she is.

Most mammals are happy if they are comfortable, well fed, have enough room to exercise and play, and have companionship.

if you put this animal in the wild now and gave it its "freedom:", it would be dead within days, since it has been raised in a house and has never been in the wild.
