I love this band. They should have been huge.

Tesla is rock and roll the way that it should be. No leather, no big boots, no makeup. Just give them a pair of jeans and a t-shirt and they'll take care of the rest. If more groups would've been like Tesla, I have no doubts that 80's rock would've survived the frunge era much better.

Heck, if you look at the guys in Tesla, they don't even look like rock stars. For the most part, they look like the guys at our local car repair garage.

@Mysterwright Yippies will tell ya that Grunge began in Australia. They'd say they did it for Aussie. Then AC/DC would look over and say ha, no Ozzy is over there. And Ozzy Osbourne would look at haters manically. Drooling. Now Rick Rubin is saying he's done it all for Sabbath. History has begun to repeat itself domestically. Especially in wake of Heath Ledger, Skip from Lords of Dogtown, passing.

@BigOleOgre They were on the verge of huge success. Last Action Hero, which Tesla did the theme for, was pegged to be a summer blockbuster. That and MTV pushing out hard rock for grunge alternative completely made for a perfect storm of bad news in '93.

@dman72 LOL..I've met them all, more than once over the years and you are right,... 'pompus' stuck-up', 'jackasses' and 'rock-star' are about the LAST things you think when you walk away after meeting them. Real down to earth guys that just love playing rock n roll...and they just happen to be better at it than 90% of everyone else.
