Don't use REAL shells, they make the water hard. Best thing is, use a flowerpot, stand it right side up, with a piece of slate over the top (leave just enough room for the fish to slip into the pot). When you see the fish tossing bits of gravel out of the pot, you know they are getting busy.

They need a parnter, a cave and not to hard water. Not more than PH 7,5. Than there is no problem.

from what i've heard, no. jsut put lots of shells in the aquarium for the eggs. apparantly you have no idea they have spawned untill you see the fry swimming around. the parents protect their fry.

i`m going to have a cpuple of pairs in a 200L very soon., is it hard to make them mate?

male 10cm,female 8cm,tank size 60L

I think the normal size is 8 cm.
And the smallest tank for one couple is 60 L. You should have more.

I am new into this hobby and I have bought these kribensis in november. Only 1 1/2 week after they have fry, but only ca. 20 pcs. Now there is 4 back of these fry and the are playing around.
Yesterday there was again some new born fry and about 50 these times or more.
Yes I also think that the female is very much yellow and she was that already at the store.
