@xzaz2 Well, it is one of the biggest and most traficced streets in Copenhagen. ;)
-
@Jesus45U If you stop at the corner, and then turn the bike, then of course you have to wait for the green light, because then you'd be positioned exactly like every one else waiting for the green light. :b
-
@Jesus45U It's true that you have to start out driving straight ahead, traffic lights or not and traffic or not, but with no traffic in your direction or opposite, you don't have to go all the way to the corner: After making sure there's no troubling traffic, you can start turning left when you're like 1-2 metres from the corner, so that you don't have to stop and turn the bike.

Should be "twice straight" in any crossing, lightcurve or not, AFAIK.
-
@Jesus45U No, even with light signals, if there is no traffic in your direction in opposite, you may just turn left, without waiting for green light before the turn - even without stopping at all. Only if there is traffic you have to stop completely, turn your bike 90 degrees and wait for green light.
At least that's what my teacher, a police officer, told me when I was taking my driver's license for scooters. And scooter and bicycle laws are the same.

Stil alot of traffic... I think the Netherlands is more for bicycles.

Thats an awesome fascility! They've put down skid proofing on some of ours, but cars weaving over them and parking do tend to make it wear off

Nej, nej, jeg er skam pæredansk.
Og jeg plejer at skrive på engelsk, så alle kan være med.
For everyone else; it seems that both me and Trusten are Danish. :)

Hey,
Jeg troede du var amerikaner, så tar`vi den på dansk,
og med navnet Jesus, lol !

Correct, the blue paint, is both for guiding the bicycles, and warn other traffic that there will be bicycles in that area.
But a traffic light signal still has precedence, even if there is no traffic.
But in an ordinary crossing, with no light signal, then you can do the "twice straight ahead" crossing without waiting.
The description tells that to turn left you must wait for green light across the road. Actually, if there's no traffic in your direction or opposite, you are allowed to cross the road, but you have to drive "twice straight ahead" meaning you have to go to this opposite corner and check the traffic from there.
