This really is the most patronizing and useless blurb for this mic ... the Rode media department ought to do way better than a bird in a short skirt. The chick doesn't make me want this mic ... the chick does not impart information that is critical to my decision making process. NEXT!

I know the CAD M179 is about a half to a quarter of the price of this NT2000, but how do they compare?

@jemmahixon i use an NT1000 and they are VERy different. The NT1 series doesn't have the features of the NT2 polar patterns. And i'm pretty sure there are some qualities of the NT2 series that the NT1 doesn't have =]
