i bought myself a vestax PDX-3000.....but then i had to realize, that they put the "old tonearm" on it. and not the special tonearm.

i thought: "ok..then i just buy the tonearm of the pdx-2000PRO and change it to have this tight feature,

but then i see the prices (over 150€) for the "special tonearm" i was a little bit angry about vestax, gone to the kitchen, took few things and made a quite better version of the "special" tonearm for low cost.

try it yourself the turntable is skipproof after this little modification ;)

  • @revnu2 i try your tips on my mk2 . I put the rubber band and the toothpick around the weight, and put a second rubberband to the toothpick to the arm just behind the weight .It works very well , it is very smooth, and at first i was surprised. Thanks for this.

if you want to apply this hack an a 1210 it would be a little tricky. if you only use a rubber band you will have unwanted side-forces. ill try to make a other video and show how you make a little construct to make a good portation of this hack on a technics

  • @wygrzanko the pdx 3000 mk2 still has the old tonearm system (ASTS = anti skipping tonearm system), not the better one (ASTS with dynamic balance technology). the latter was, by default, only built into the pdx 2000 mk2 pro, and is of silver colour.

  • good job mate... you really know how to use your brains efficiently and effectively.. thumbs up from me and lots of respect as well...

    greetings from Greece

  • This video really made me smile :-)

  • hi. do you know what about new pdx300 mk2 tone arm? does it have the new, better one? or same as pd3000 mk1? (I pressume that yours is mk1)

    thanks in advance

  • Senks man!!!)))

  • love the accent especially when u say vestax bullshit

  • @yamamaisallama

i agree, that the platters of the vestax are complete bullshit....they have a bad montation, if u put your hand on one side the other side goes up, because they used not enought metal to make a solid thing like the good old technics.....i kept my 2 technics and bought just one vestax 3000 for cutting ;)

if i have time im going to make another tutorial and explain a way to accept this hack to the technics 1210. its not that easy to port this trick on the 1210.

  • @revnu2 if i was half as creative as you dude i wouldn't have bought into this vestax bullshit and kept my 1210's. thanks dude im gonna sell my 2000 mk2's and get my 1210's back..and revnu-them
