Also, I have a q? Is 20 gallons enough for 3 4.5 in cichlids? I might get a bigger tank.

i had 3 tetras. (neon) one died about 1 month b4 i got cichlids. I got one yellow tail acei and 2 yellow labs. ive had them for about 2 months and they have grown a little. id say theyr 1.5 to 2 inches. they were fine. But, i came home today and sat at my computer and i looked over at my tank and i see some grey thing floating. Its a tetra!!! My two herbavorous (almost, the CAN eat meet) cichlids ate my tetras!!! My cichlids barely even bothered them too...

i'm sorry to see this. malawi, tanganiyka and a tetra together. is he still alive? btw. malawi cichlids really love sand to move around, it's a joy to see those fishes redecorate the tank.

the tetra had a good 4 years with me and then passed....yea I know i wanted to switch my tanks over to black sand ages ago but lack of funds and lack of retailors carrying what i want....
