It's interesting how Bakshi animated dark, gritty chararcters and worlds in such cartoony styles (this show is like "Blade Runner" in "Jetson's" animation, and "Cool World" was like a dimented Disney movie). I don't think it clashes at all though, it's an interesting choice of style.
