Rick Wakeman, the pianist on the original version of David Bowie's "Life On Mars?", leads a performance of the song at the 2011 Sunflower Jam charity concert at London's Royal Albert Hall.
The song, written by Bowie, originally appeared on David's 1971 album, "Hunky Dory". Rick introduced the song by saying that Bowie had asked the other musicians on the original to play around his piano part, before turning to the band & joking, "So you remember that!"
The lineup for this performance is: Rick (piano), Newton Faulkner (vocals), Jon Lord (ex-Deep Purple, Hammond organ), Anna Phoebe (violin), Paul 'Wix' Wickens (keyboard), Murray Gould (lead guitar), Micky Moody (ex-Whitesnake, guitar), Nick Fyffe (bass) & Jerry Brown (drums).

Brilliant performance, if somewhat hampered by the quality of this recording. However, a EuroMillions Thanks for uploading!

First time I've ever seen Newton without a guitar! What an amazing lineup and incredible, breathtaking vocals.
