  • Flouride is NOT necessary for your teeth! It is toxic, essentially. There are people in remote areas/villages who have NEVER used flouride and amazingly, their teeth are fine. It's what we eat (processed foods, sugars, etc) that causes tooth decay. Why would I want to put something on my teeth that is used in rat poison?!

  • @JasonCurry2012 If fluoride was dissolving your enamel, then your teeth would become more yellow because behind the tooth is something called dentin and dentin is yellow.

  • fluoride is not a "nutrient". It's a mineral...and an extremely toxic one at that.

  • i posted part of the MSDS(materials safety data sheet) for sodium fluoride below, which deals with toxic effects on humans. the posts ended up going from last to first, so i guess read them from the bottom up, and then tell me why on earth you would want this stuff anywhere near your mouth or in your drinking water? it seems quite simple to me- it's a toxin that is not good for you or your teeth.

  • and finally: Chronic inhalation may cause bronchitis to develop with cough, phlegm, and/or shortness of breath. ,

liver (hepatic enzymes increased, jaundice), .

  • Chronic ingestion may cause fluorosis: include joint pain, weakness, limited joint mobility, brittle bones, ossifications on x-ray, thickening

of long bone cortices, calcificaiton of ligaments, osteomalacia, osteosclerosis (skeletal (bone and teeth) abnormalties) and

mottled tooth enamel. Other symptoms may include anemia, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or constipation, kidney damage and

    weight loss/anorexia.

  • cardiovascular system (weak pulse, hypotension, dysrhythmias,

cardiac arrest), liver, urinary system (polyuria, polydypsia) brain, metabolism (loss of appetite, hypcalcemia, hyperkalemia,

hypomagnesia, ), teeth, bones, and blood (changes in red and white blood cell count, interference in blood coagulation)

Inhalation: Causes irritation and chemical burns of the respiratory tract with coughing, breathing difficulty and possibly nasal

septum perforation and coma. May affect bones.

  • Ingestion of

large amounts may cause salivation, thirst, nausea, vomiting, hypermotility, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. May affect behavior/

central nervous system/nervous system (headache, nervousness, dizziness, seizures, convulsions, tremor, muscle weakness,

    somnolence), respiration (respiratory depression, dyspnea),

  • here is part of the MSDS for sodium fluoride, this will take a couple posts.

Special Remarks on other Toxic Effects on Humans:

Acute Potential Health Effects: Skin: Causes skin irritation and possible burns, especially if skin is wet or moist. Eyes: Causes

eye irritation and burns. May cause chemical conjunctivitis and corneal damage. Ingestion: Harmful if swallowed. Causes

digestive (gastrointestinal) tract irritation and burns. May cause severe and permanent damage to the digestive.

  • I used to get cavities every time I went to the dentist , I changed my diet to get rid of all the unecessary sugar , stoped using fluoride and my teeth have never been healthier , and my dentist believes so too. Dont believe the government or dental industries hype fluoride is useless . They have a poison warning on that stuff for a reason , you wouldnt put cyanide in your drinking water , so why would you put rat poison in your mouth ?
