Five tornadoes in one chase makes a very happy Bart!
NOTE: This is is not a duplicate upload, I decided to edit and upload footage from this day again so it could be in HQ and so that the contrast could be changed to make the tornadoes a bit more visible. To see the raw unedited and compressed version of this please look for it in the list of videos below here called "more from this user."
This was the first of four days of tornado mayhem as Oklahoma, Colorado, Iowa, and Kansas played host to a multiple day outbreak that ended May with a bang in the historic 2008 tornado season.
The reason the video is so shaky is because I had to put my big sholder mounted camera on a crappy $30 tripod from Walmart after I slammed my trunk's door shut on my nice Bogen while loading up for the chase. It also didn't help that the inflow to the storm was insane and the surface winds away from the storms were fairly strong as well.
A couple clips in this video are fairly grainy and that is because I had to increase the contrast of the video since the tornadoes are hard to see in front of the dark backdrop that was the precip of the monster HP I was on most of the day. The clip of the wedges are also very short since they were only visible for a short time with the amount of dust and rain that was present in these storms.
The 5th tornado was a satellite tornado and the wedge that it spawned next to is faintly visible to the right of it.
The landspout tornado was on the ground at the same time as the first wedge.

May 22, 23, and 24 of 2008 were awesome in the late May out break. I saw seven tornadoes in this 3 day period. I thought it would take me a while to see my first tornado, but this outbreak let me see one in a hurry. Very first storm I got my first tornado by Collyer KS. Less than an hour, I see another in my second storm by Wakeeney. Next day my 4th storm spawned the Lane County KS tornado near Dighton. 3rd day I saw 4 in my 5th storm in the Henesey OK area. My 1st 3 days chasing was awesome.
