Kiss of Death - Everything's On Me

1947 crime thriller from director Henry Hathaway and screenplay by Ben Hecht and Charles Lederer and original story by E. Lipsky starring Victor Mature and Richard Widmark. Mature plays a reformed mobsters who rats out Widmark's psychopathic killer. In this intense scene Mature attempts to confront Widmark, in the hopes of goading him into taking his revenge. Widmark and Lipsky received Oscar nominations. Victor Mature was a popular Hollywood leading man with a remarkable career spanning from 1939 - 1984. Born in Louisville, Kentucky to an Italian immigrant knife sharpener and a Swiss-American mother. Victor moved to California to pursue an acting career, taking lessons at the Pasadena Playhouse. His career took off after World War 2 (in which he served in the Coast Guard).
