Sony launches first TransferJet gadgets

Data transfer between gadgets that's as simple as bringing them together: that's the promise of TransferJet, a Sony-developed technology that will begin appearing in products soon. TransferJet works at up to 3 centimeters and its speed rivals USB cables. It also promises to be easier to use than competing wireless systems like Bluetooth because it doesn't feature the pairing or security functions in longer-range systems.
