@cheapthrillsss pete destroyed the libertines he was a cunt to carl and was arrested for the last part of their performances, in my opinion the dirty pretty things have the better music and seeing as lyrically pete and carl are the same person, dont get me wrong babyshamles are a good band but i dont think i can like pete as much as carl as carl is always cool, pete is half cool half cunt but also a legend

@cheapthrillsss Yeah, that's fair. I wasn't really knocking Down in Albion, but just making a point. I have some mp3s of the Libertines doing a lot those songs, that was my only point. A'Rebours, Albion, Back from the Dead, Kilamangiro were all done in sessions before they broke up. I preferred the first DPT album and I was a little put off that Pete kept all those old songs when Carl wrote all new material. I do actually like Down in Albion, though.

@cheapthrillsss I think lyrically speaking, you're right, DPT don't stack up well with the Libertines. But most of the best songs on the first Shambles album were Libertines songs that Pete decided to take full credit for. Shotter's Nation was way better to be sure. But Waterloo to Anywhere is a lot better than Down in Albion. It actually sounds like the Libertines.
