  • how did you install Ubuntu on an iBook? Can you please show me... I am unable to boot from CD. How did you do it? Please tell me...

  • Hold the 'C' key down on powerup, it should boot from the CD.

  • It would be easier to just make an ISO of the CD. I have to believe they are still on the Internet, even if they're not actively being produced anymore.

  • Games aren't the point, especially not on that hardware.

  • im trying sooo hard to install ubuntu on my ibook g3 can you help me ....you should make a video how to install it ...i want to have only ubuntu on my g3 //// please help meeeee

  • @snake1250 Late reply, but I think that if you use a browser that supports HTML5, you can watch -SOME- YouTube videos on it (any video that show stupid ads, will not work because they're still viewed in Flash). Or you can try m(dot)youtube(dot)com , it's usually made for mobile phones, but any computer with media player supporting 3gp will work. That is also a good option for those who use slower Macs (since flash is a great way to make an older computer even slower). Good luck ;)

  • Virtual Box will work on ppc

  • @oneboyphay does it work also with Ubuntu 10.10?

  • I read some where that there is no Flash support for PPC. can you run youtube videos on it?

  • did you have any trouble getting the 1024x768 resolution working. and what version of ubuntu are you running exactly?

  • xubuntu or lubuntu will run even faster!

  • @Agitpropist but he has a free alternatives is names gnash and is almost the same

  • You know, if you want to watch youtube on a powerpc based mac, the greasemonkey addon for firefox and various scripts from userscripts will allow you to watch youtube videos in the browser using either the totem or the mplayer plugin

  • Only for Intel x32, this is PPC.
