I bet the reason those guards are so affected by the boomerang is because they're all like "Ouch! He hit me with a boomerang!! ...he hit me with a boomerang..." and they're temporarily stunned by mindfuck.

Did you play this on some sort of emulator? Cause there seems to be a few subtle differences between your game and mine?

Yes, this is completely on an emulator, so I'm sure it's off in a few minor places. That's also why the sound is off, never thought it important enough to fix it.

I have played all the 3d legend of Zeldas, but none of the 2d ones. How is this one by comparison and is it harder or easier compared to Ocarina of Time?

In my opinion this one was a lot better than Ocarina of Time. Difficulty.....you'd probably have to decide for yourself.
