@EpsonNakajima because this driver was larger and could not properly fit into the car
-
@federicozep the engine without any life

@punkr You can say what you want about her, she wins big money, you dont.

It 's always a piece of history! Currently the car is owned by a well-known italian tuner, probably willing to sell it to a real enthusiast. Contact me for more information.

Team life was a misery in 1990 i wonder if anyone actually bought it
-
The amazing thing is that people buy these old, horrid cars. There's a EuroBrun ER189 for sale, in incorrect livery, for 100,000 pounds.

Also, Lola was much worse. Not for their car or their team, but for racing's sake. Lola was a disaster. They already proved a dozen times over that they COULD be beautifully competitive in anything they touched.
I'm inclined to agree with the majority and blame Mastercard for pushing them to show up before they had even approached readiness. It was a disaster for F1. Lola should have been great.
Life never had a chance, Lola would have, if they had waited.
OK, we all know that (but it was "only" 100 hp less than a 1990 V8 Judd - I have seen both on the dyno bench so I know)

@songsforeveryone
Yes. The car runs with the original W12 which was completely restored - and hopefully made more reliable.

my god the Life F 190 LOL....the worst ever team of f1!!!! W12 ENGINE LOL

@federicozep
not quite - the W12 was an extremely successfull architecture in aviation engines in the 30's. Check out Napier Lion on Wikipedia. Franco Rocchi carved his motor designing skills at the Officine Reggiane airplane factory in the 40s and knew that well. Besides a prototype, single slice 3cyls W motor ( a W3 :) ) had been built in the 60s by Ferrari.

@roarr62 but the car is the same unreliable....never qualified

@federicozep
not only it never qualified: it never pre-qualified and it never ended prequalification in running order either (if I remember correctly)
