Kenya Airways flights in and out of the country through the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport may be disrupted beginning midnight 13th August 2009 following a decision by Unionisable employees to down their tools in defiance of a Court Order. The employees, represented by the Aviation and Allied Workers Union-AAWU, have resolved to go on strike after talks on a salary hike failed to yield any results. The Industrial Court had on Tuesday issued a temporary injunction stopping the strike but the workers say they will defy the order after two crisis meetings with the management failed to break the stalemate.
