We flew from Toronto to NYC just to see Shirley Bassey at this event. She was spectacular as ever - the rest of the show was ok -to-good too, but DSB was the highlight.

I do have some video and will try to post over the next day or so - from Dress level unfortunately, but the sound should be ok...

She sure is the greatest singer.....Dame Shirley Bassey is pure talent......I want to see her only in her own concert at Carnegie Hall. I was at this benefit concert.....and felt cheated......I wanted more of Dame Shirley Bassey's beautiful and powerful voice!!!!!!!! That's the only reason I went.....

She is fortunate to have a deep, low-pitched voice. With female singers, it is usually the ones with high-pitched voices who lose their singing ability first with age. As long as she does not need to hit many high notes, DSB can probably keep performing for another 5-8 years if she wants to.

She's a great performer and singer. I only have heard her Bond themes and Big Spender, but even those are just amazing.

How does she keep looking younger and younger? She looks even better here than last years BBC proms where she was simply stunning. She sounds fantastic as usual. Long Live Dame Shirley!
