Oxygen mask has nothing to do with it. The pilot wears a G-suit and is trained to flex his core muscles to keep the Gs from pulling the blood away from his brain and pooling in his legs.

I think the LAST thing you should be doing is chewing gum when doing this - huge risk of choking dont you think? And the pilot can't get to you to help.. you're screwed.
