  • Well Thanks for the comments I guess a mandatory project for someone who isn't a film student is reason for criticism. And just so you know it was a style based off of another facility built by the named person. Kirkbride was mentioned.

  • The video and report do it no justice. Google the Buffalo Psych Hosp. and you'll see what I mean. I was in Buffalo for a couple years in the late 90's.

I saw the outside of this fierce building, and though "protected and fenced" I had to see the inside.

People who talk about "ghosts" and "haunting" look foolish to me. Be that as it may--if there is any place that is haunted on the planet--this is it.

Once inside you fight between "sightseeing" and wanting to leave QUICKLY.Especially at night.

  • This place brings back memories, I grew up on Rees Street in the 60's when it was still in operation. We use to ride our bicycles on the grounds we would see the patients all the time up in those caged porches. Sometimes, the nurses would take them out for a walk. At night we would often hear screams from the place.

  • @burntvalve86 its condemed they want to tare it down but cant because its concidered a landmark now. the building will never be used again because its falling apart beyond repair. it is a shame that nobody has even tried to preserve it though. the building is vary beautiful

  • This is not college level material. From just watching I thought it was an elementary school project. Until I read the caption at the end.

  • nice building looks like a big castle I hope it gets preserved and used again it will be a shame to have it demolished or to let it set and rot.

  • @Bllackguard666 Okay, my mistake then. I read on some site Kirkbride did it, but it did seem like a inaccurate site to me, anyway. TY for replying.

  • @Bllackguard666 No she's right it was designed by H.H. Richardson using the Kirkbride plan...

  • It was built by Kirkbride, not by who/what you said. Thomas Story Kirkbride is a name all of us (or most) Urban Explorers know. He build most of the asylums on the NE part of the US.

  • the cars driving by ruins it.....
