I use Dreamscene on 4 different computers with VISTA, my quad-core has 8 GB of RAM, and the other laptops have 4GB. I don't even notice the slightest lag in performance with dreamscene running. It takes hardly ANY resources. Plus, you can install Stardock Deskscapes and run the DREAM format if you want to consume less resources. But personally, I don't notice ANY difference at all and I edit videos and sound on my computer, which are very CPU intensive.
Dude, I used to think that you were smart, but geez, get off of it dude. You can't even seem to get your own computer working and you keep blaming Microsoft and Nvidia. Why don't you write your OWN drivers if you know so much!!! Dreamscene was the coolest feature of VISTA. And you CAN use it on Home Premium.
I actually highly enjoy using dreamscene.... I am currently using the snowtiger background and it looks really good. I have not experienced any decrease in performance since using it.
I can run vista dreamscenes without any performance issues. I never use them though since I havnt actually found one that I enjoy staring at.
What we need are upgrades to desktop productivity(perhaps built in virtual desktops) or enhanced dual/tri/quad monitor support allowing full screen applications to run while at the same time allowing support to manipulate other desktops without the full screen application minimizing.
I have ultimate and looked at the dreamscene feature, I just don't like it. Even if it didn't hog up system resources I still would prefer a standard wallpaper. However I have been very happy with vista thus far, used it for around 6 months on a mid-high end computer.
you're a moron, you can turn that shit off and since you don't know how to turn it off it's best that it's on so you don't install shit that makes your computer a zombie that floods the network.
