@Infini2k Not what I meant. History has been much abused by rulers everywhere and still is. Nehru is essentially constructing a history of India in his book by using sources available to him and episodes he sees best fits his model, its still being done by other interest groups. what I am saying is certainly we know more about our history now than anyone knew it say even 50 years back but its still colored by a spectrum of political motivations.

@IndiaNationalistPost -- agreed. Though the book is written well, and this title song is goood! If you read the book by knowing that the AIT is not true some parts of the book give a good glimpse of old India...

Discovery of India written by Nehru is an outdated and British centric source of information. Nehru was a product of British education and thus his book emphasized the Aryan invasion theory which has been proved to be patently false. Please stop reading Nehru' Discovery of India
