I recommend the Round Robin - train, ferry, river boat cruise, open top bus (only good weather), or Santa's Grotto for the children at xmas. In few decades I'm going to retire to Paignton- such a great place and loads to do.

Something tells me that this line was owned by the Great Western Railway

Yep correct

The coaches were not named by the P&DSR -11 were from the British Railways and 8 were from the British Rail Diesel Multiple Unit. The carriages were named after female employees or their children/grandchildren. I think the names give them a sense of character and personality. Spotting the carriage and train names is a fun sport.

The coaches were BR built but never carried names until P&DSR days.
