Oswald George "Ozzie" Nelson (1906 - 1975) was an American entertainer who originated and starred in The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet radio and television series with his wife and two sons. Son of Swedish parents, he was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, where he attended and starred on the football team, which is now named after him. He became an Eagle Scout at 13 and in adult life a recipient of the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award from the Boy Scouts of America. He graduated from Rutgers University, where he played football despite his slight build, and entered law school. In college, he played saxophone in a small band and coached football to earn money, but faced with the Depression, he turned to music as a full-time career.

ATTENTION! Ofcourse, our dear football player from the Swedish family is not responsible for all the attrocities in the clip (although - the Swedish government in 1930/40s helped the Nazi industry steel supplies!).

Well, Ozzie definietely was not any part of it. Just, the wonderful, nostalgic music he played with his band made me make this clip. Sorry, Ozzie... you shouldn't be blamed for anything bad.

Harriet was a classic beauty, and was in some early :30'S pix. Strange that you would include A. Hitler with Ozzie Nelson. Didn't his family come to America in the early1800's? (along with many other Scandanavens)
