E-Z Infrared Remote Tester

Check out your remote control. Uses a common IR-detector module (Look, it works.) The device is available at RadioShack. If you need a closer look at that schematic, use the Pause button. The nexus of any remote control project.
FYI - You can see a RC's output by looking at its emitter with any (CCD) camera, too.

This is WAY better than that circuit at the Jameco page (totally respecting Mims, you know, but that one is from way back, and so many components.)
