religion being a belief or set of ideas one swear is truth...
i think the problem with any belief is the strong tendency to protect/defend it
if my belief in reality is God exists and he's got my back and there is a Satan etc....that reality in itself is pretty messed up so everything else i think is messed up in whats real what isn't

From what i've watched Today I think Tony's life, his purpose in his mind was this need to prove what he believed in was correct
He apparently had his own message board dedicated to this cause of his
HIs whole life seem to be focused on it
and maybe he was starting to have doubts into it and nothing was improving for him and in his mind maybe he felt nothing was left for him if he was wrong
lots of maybe's what ifs but i can relate to this guys turmoil of belief/religion
