You can train them to take frozen food/freeze dried food and pellets, but you would have to start when they are young.....

my arowana eats anything as long as it fits it's mouth or it is moving. i had 5 janitor fishes then the next week 3 remain.

@MegaDarkAro you need to bump the temp up to at least 82* and the proceed to read more about how to care for these fishes.

My dad is getting ready to train our arowana to eat feeder goldfish out of his hand, he did it with his last arowana. :}

you can feed them ur shit once in awhile too, thats just to provide them minerals and vitamine....... but you only can feed them about 10 grams everyweek. This in turn will show their true colour out in a very very short time and will brighten their colour by 300%!!! This method is not widely known as those campionship breeders dont want you to know the secret. I have a close friend thats works in Xian leng farm for many years and revealed this secret to me.

I have silver arowana in about a 72 degree tank and tried to feed him bloodworms, crickets, flakes, pellets and more. Need help!!! He is almost dead!

You need to keep the water closer to 80-82 degrees F. 72 degrees is to cold long term and could be the reason it's not doing well.
