奨学金ビデオ （ Scholarship Video)

In order to add some unique flavor to my entry, I would like to add this video to demonstrate my Japanese ability a little bit by reading this mini-summarized version of my English essay in Japanese. Please keep in mind I have only lived in Japan for three years, and have no Japanese background whatsoever.

Here is the contents of my speech and what I am reading off of.

"初めまして、ジャステインです。十八歳です。よろしくお願いします。今、私は日本語で自分の事を紹介します。私は三年前にアメリカから日本に来ました。私は、日本に行き­たくなかったから、父にとても怒りました。その時私は日本のについて興味が無くて、好奇心も沸きませんでした。そしてしばらく経って、私自身変わりました。私はすぐに日本­に興味を持ち始めた、沢山日本語の勉強をしたくなりました。私の考えがなぜ変わったのか？それはいい質問ですが、私もまだ理由が分からないので、答えを探すのもやめました­。日本にいるのは今の私の夢ですから、理由が必要ないです。私はまだ十分お金が有りませんが、今年の秋に東京のテンプル大学に行きたいと思っています。今から九月までお金­を貯金しますが、払う事はまだ難しいので、一生懸命がんばります。"

I lived not far from you --like a hundred yards, back up the hill, on the left, house set back parallel to street, two houses on either side of front yard perpendicular to street. I was there 3 years, and one of my biggest regrets is that I didn't take advantage of the chance to truly learn Japanese.
