i see alot of people are saying he sampled. its not a sample if i take some words and recreate elements. a sample is that you are taking that exact part of the song. if you figure out how to make that sound your not sampling it and your must give credit.

In fact the album that the Kanye song that sampled this off is on, only has 3 out of 11 tracks that use samples (this one included) which isn't that many and Coldest Winter is one of the weaker songs on there anyway. This is still good to know anyway as I do like to know where the samples are from adn I've always really liked Tears For Fears (though obviously not a big enough fan to know this song)

Hey Kanye...... Take note, these are musicians known as ARTISTS. From a thought in a quiet room to an album full of ORIGINAL songs, which include lyrics and the MUSIC. Hip hop acts "sample" no, I mean COPY melodies because they are the toughest things to come up with. There are various other marketing concepts that make the Kanye's of the world COPY other musicians work that I won't go into cuz it's above the Jr. High mentality of Kanye's fans. This is real & fantastic music.
