Plasma Interference 2

Here's another example of fairly heavy interference is being caused suspected to be a Plasma TV. Notice the Noise Blanker does help to an extent, but the interference is too strong. Both samples on AM/SSB provided. Antenna used was a tri-band fan dipole Inverted-V. Comprised of a 40m dipole with loading coils for 80m as well as elements for 20m about 5m above ground up a tree. Icom IC 756 Pro III used, NB quite effective.

Bummer. My Pro3 has DSP artifact issues on CW. I get crackles and pops, and what appears to be distortion at times. Is this a neighbor's TV you suspect?

I'm not so sure this is a Plasma TV after all but it is from a neighbour 2 doors away. I can pick up interference on VHF and UHF as well.

Had the same problem here. Plasma tv panasonic. ans samsung plasma. Samsung is fixed. Panasonic was my own. Sold the tv. Another plasma problem came up again 2 months ago. Again Agentschap-Telecom need to be informed and let the problem be solved by the manufacture

@roity57 Have you requested/offered to help correct the problem? I would, and if there is no cooperation I would call the authorities. They will assist. At least here in the states they do.

Best place to look for Plasma TV noise is from 2 MHz to 7 Mhz. It totally DESTROYS 3.885 megahertz. I'm surprised I haven't damaged the front end of my radio listening to it 200 feet away.
