If you are worried that you can't go natural because of the texture of your hair... watch this video!!

I have quite a few conversations with people who say things like ...
'I can't go natural because my hair won't do that'
'you have a different type of hair'
'my hair is coarse and tightly coiled, it would never do that'...

So I made this video, to tell you and show you that if those are your reasons/excuses as to why you can't go natural, then the real reason is you.

YOU are the only one stopping yourself from trying something new. Something that you may have been wanting to do for a long time.

If going natural is something that you are interested in, it doesn't matter what type of hair you have. What matters is taking the time to learn what your hair likes and taking the time to care for your hair. If you are willing to do that, then nothing should stop you!

I hope this video helps a little! It just takes a little TLC! :0)

See you in the next video!

  • Point very well taken.....I hear that comment so much. "I can't go natural, my hair won't do what your hair does. Or look the way it does." But I tell them the same thing, it takes patience, time, and care of your hair. Loved how you showed people that no it's not glamorous when you do nothing to it. But when you do, it can be beautiful and gorgeous and all naturally yours. Thanks for sharing this with us. Maybe one day I will conjure up the nerve to post some videos.

  • @Suthurnblkbelle Exactly! I hear that all too often as well! If you make some videos, make sure to let me know! :0) It's fun *winkwink* Thanks for watching!

  • Awesome & informative video! Doesn't matter how long we take our time with our hair, at the end of the day, it'll be worth all that effort. Thank you for sharing.

  • @Sophic87 - Exactly!! Thanks so much for watching!! :0)

  • My hair was cut to half an inch for my big chop and 8 months later it is only 4inches. I know our hair grows differently and I'm soo grateful to God because the texture is thick and soft but im thinking im doing something wrong because the growth is very slow compared to others who are uploading their progress at 8months,

  • @Tawhidlover On average, hair grows about 1/2 inch each month. So, you are right on track! :0) Sometimes when people post videos or pictures, they might say something like 8months natural, when they really have maybe 12months of growth. Sometimes people count the time since they big chopped and don't include their transition time. Look for 'last relaxer' dates. That might give you a better idea of how much growth someone has. But no worries, and no stress! You're doing great!! :0)

  • @luvbeinnatural (continued) you have demonstrated so well. I celebrate people like you, kimmaytube, prettydimples, msvcharles, and naptural85 (just to name a few). You ladies have help to lead this hair revolution and it is a beautiful thing. I have tried to explain what you aRe explaining in this video to so many people and they don't believe me. I am sending this to all the non believers who think my hair is something so special and so unlike theirs. Thank you.

  • my hero, u just made me feel a hell a better right now

  • This video reminds me why I subscribed. Thanks for sharing your hair in this state! It's very easy to see all this nice styled hair but not the raw materials it came from.

  • Ooh, I love your hair! I'm a white girl and I have curly hair (definitely not as curly as yours!) and I used to really dislike my curls and wanted to straighten my hair but over the past couple years I've embraced the natural fullness and curliness of my hair! I can brush my hair mostly straight when it's wet (with conditioner) but within seconds it all starts to curl. This is probably all irrelevant since this video is aimed at black women but I just find curly hair to be so interesting.. haha.

  • @Tawhidlover

in 2010 scientist discovered a gene that regulates hair growth

In 2010 scientists identified a gene that actually determines hair growth...true fact....I knew there had to be something genetic, so really, hair growth is genetic

  • Excellent point made!

  • @NitaB973 Aww! I see some coils and curls (your hair is just veerrrrry tight)
