Credit: Gary Freidman / Los Angeles Times A gunman pointed his weapon at more than a dozen people Friday as he randomly opened fire on drivers and pedestrians in Hollywood before being fatally shot by Los Angeles Police Department officers.

Video shows the gunman calmly pointing his handgun and opening fire on passing cars near Vine Street and Sunset Boulevard near the ArcLight Cinema.

A man driving a Mercedes was shot in the jaw and taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he was in critical condition. He is expected to survive.

I'm sure California will put more constraints on guns rather than shouting Allahu Akbar.

However, we all know what happens when those who shout Allahu Akbar don't have guns! Beheadings.

And when those who shout Allahu Akbar don't have knives! Stonings.

Stones are everywhere. The real problem is inescapable.

@kavkaz7kavkaz Um, actually muslims started all of those when you look at the facts. But I wouldn't expect you to understand that. Somehow it's always Israel or America's fault right? muslims never start anything? Sort of like the crusades too? Go get an education, you ignorant towel-head. @areuter727 CA is a right to carry state. But I doubt all people feel the need to carry guns on that intersection. Vine is avery touristy area.
