Elfaunole, thanks for the upload, this film is high on my list of favorite Hitchcock films.
But I would like to point out that the film's title is simply "Rope," ~ NOT "THE Rope."

Actually Arthur Laurents, the author of the screenplay felt that filming the murder spoiled the potential mystery element of the film. However, "Rope" is a suspense teleplay instead of a mystery.

Yes, "Heavenly Creatures" was directed by Peter Jackson, but its nothing like "Lord of the Rings". Its based on the adolesence of Juliet Hulme and Pauline Parker-Rieper from 1952-54. Do you like or read Anne Perry novels? You might be surprised to learn that Anne Perry now in her 70's is the real-life Juliet Hulme.

@dallaskenn - thanks for your suggestions. i've seen lesbian films as well, from claude chabrol's "les biches" (the does) to things from recent memories like "boys don't cry." i'll check out "heavenly creatures" sometime, but if its directed by peter jackson, who did the "lord of the rings" movies, i probably wont like it. i think jackson truned tolkien's great books into a travesty. anyway thanks for the information.
