i see the "spinning is so much cooler than not spinning" as a joke at the Atlantis gate (because it doesn't spin lol).... and then by that logic the SGU gate is cooler than the SG-1 gate ;) since the WHOLE thing spins lol

that was so funny at 2:56 where he points up.. they showed the actors doing their parts for this and he does that as he was doing the voice over... I don't know if that was in the script or an adlib by RDA
