A mercenary who doesn't care about getting paid - now that's hilarious.

Yes, the Black Knight sequel assumes that Johanna died. At the end of Vengeance, if you play the Save Sister Mission she does live. If you play the other mission to get the weapons and what have you, then when you return from that mission Carl shows you the video of Johanna's dead body and leaves you.

@RiskoVinsheen Joanna as duchess is non-canon. The story is left to your imagination :)

@StarcoGAMES Because of the whole narrator thing.

Why does this remind me of starship troopers?

Well apparently the Legionnaires fail in their attempt to kill Dressari. Because according to the Battletech Wiki archives, Ian and his Kentares DMM had fought against The Third Benjamin Regulars who had outnumbered and outgunned them at first but luckily were saved by Pro-Victor Tenth Lyran Guards who were supposed assist Prince Victor himself on Tikonov but had to make an unscheduled stop in the Kentares system due to a sabotage of their Jumpships

I never got to play Black Knight but I got to play Vengeance and Mercenaries...
I always saved Ian's sister. If this game is supposed to follow the story of Ian deciding NOT to save his sister... where's the game that follows the good ending?

It's been a while since I played it, so I could be wrong. But I think his sister dies anyway in the BK story and Ian becomes the leader or whatever and then turns all dictator like, hence the need to kill him off.
