It was a premiere of a new product line of Mega Mexicana labeled Banachos. Mega Mexicana was founded by the late Pilar Gonzalez and the now the company is handed over to her talented children who continues her legacy of a good chef. Master Chef Gene Gonzalez took over the kitchen and made sure the legacy of his mother will be remembered.
Premiere Philippine chef Gene Gonzalez - At age 23, he opened, as chef-owner, Cafe Ysabel in San Juan. He is a Chef instructor to the Professional and Recreational courses. Aside from a series of apprenticeships in France and Italy, he has completed various specialized courses in food arts, Culinary Institute of America, California Culinary Academy and the Callebaut Chocolate College. He has undertaken research and development projects with major food manufacturers and flavor laboratories. He is a co-founder of the Alta Cocina Filipina, the movement for contemporary Filipino cuisine. An avid writer, he is editor to a weekly food page for one of Manila's major newspapers and authored cookbooks including "Cocina Sulipena" a book on 19th century recipes from Pampanga. He is the only Ten Outstanding Young Men awardee in Culinary Arts and at present, author to a book series on Philippine cuisine. He was also board member of the College of Saint Benilde and at present, conseiller culinaire of the National board of the Chaine des Rotisseurs and also member of the London based International Wine and Food Society.

he is a great chef. he owns restaurants and a school, Center for Asian Culinary Studies. he is a serious guy when it comes to work - teaching and cooking. but in this video, he's just trying to sell his products. this is actually really brave for him.. trying to be funny. you should see him cook. :)

no mehn chef gene is good... yet being on tv is a diffrent thing,,, its a whole new experience if ur focus on cooking.... wel ur not being trained as a chef to do tv!!! i can tel chef gene is one succesful chef... he already owns a smooth operating restos. chef de cuisine? yes. he has the right to be called or addressd that way! maybe not on tv...but in the operation, knowledge and the business. hes som1 that we can luk up to.
