Great video, thanks for posting. I'm visiting Scotland this autumn; could you by any chance tell me the name of the loch at 1:32?

I really hate to argue with anyone but could you help me out here, I watched a clip about Scotland,,the uploader mentioned certain " lakes ".
Hey folks if I'm wrong I'm wrong and I'll be the first to apologise but ! I have never heard of " lakes " in Scotland they are all bloody LOCHS,,are they not ?? or in the years I've been away have they changed the names ??
Honestly I have never heard anyone describe a body of water in Scotland as a lake ??????????

@jeanmunn A Loch is the Scottish Gaelic word for lake. Lake and Loch have the exact same meaning. In Scotland, we name them Loch, like Loch Ness and Loch Lomond. Nearly all Scottish people say Loch, but some foreigners will use the word Lake to say something like " I was out on the lake in the boat ". They are not wrong but they would be wrong if they said Lake Ness or Lake Lomond.

@glasgow1234 Thank you for your reply, I do understand what you said but,,the individual I am communicating with is indicating that there are Lochs in Scotland with the official title of Lake,,not Loch.
Like I have said,, in all my years I have never seen a Loch in Scotland with a title of Lake,,,have you ?? or anyone else ??
Thanks,,,and your video clips are simply wonderful,,I so enjoy them.
The foreigners you mentioned above,,they are probably English ??

@jeanmunn Well actually yes there are 4 official lakes in Scotland that have the title of lake, 3 are man made and the 1 natural is called Lake of Menteith. We have 4 lakes, but 31,000 lochs!
And thanks very much, I'm glad you are enjoying my videos.
And yes, any foreigner, mostly English and Americans call them Lakes.
