@thenightlamp1--I don't sympathize with the criminals and I agree, when one robs and steals, they run the risk of being harmed. While I realize the law (here in Texas) makes Joe's actions legal, I had a hard time rationalizing "killing" someone over my neighbor's "stuff". If people are in danger of being harmed, sure. There's a recent case in which a woman shot an intruder breaking in to her home. I'm totally okay with that case.

@mattdog12187--Well, 1. I don't eat chicken anymore. I've been a vegetarian for close to 3 months (I've also lost more than 60 lbs--you should check out my weight loss channel, I'm kicking butt), and 2. I don't have any "chirren". I'm only about 10 months away from earning my M.B.A., but I'm pretty sure that isn't the correct spelling. I could be wrong though.

@fatchickskinny Miss, "if people are in danger of being harmed, sure" He walks outside and is confronted by them in his own yard. He was a shotgun and tells them to stop. they move twards him. I think its hard to understand the mentallity of a person with a shotgun pointed at them and proceed to move twards it. That disregaurd for there own life. That would scare the crap out of me. if they dont care for there own life , what do they care for yours? just a thought

Who really cares what the 911 operator thinks he should do in that situation. He has no authority. Joe horn came outside, and the two men were on his property after he witnessed them robbing the house next to his. Why wouldn't a man who wants to protect his property NOT shoot?

@999SilverDog--A bunch of "what if's" there. I don't need to do hypothetical in this case. Joe Horn said if he had it to do again, he wouldn't have killed them. That's all I needed to hear. He regrets taking a human life over "things". No one was raped or murdered--that's a fact...not a hypothetical statement. Since I'm "intellectually lazy", I won't bother hurling a personal attack at you.

What if some burglar steals all your life-long savings, and renders you destitute the rest of your life? What if these 2 animals had raped and killed someone in that house they were in - how was anyone to know? Would it have been right in hindsight to let them run away? They were told to STOP, they did not, and shooting them was justified in every sense. You want us to be victims. Screw that, you burgle a man's home, you are dead man walking.
