Joel Osteen - Strife - part 1 of 3

Joel Osteen uses as do many false prophets an array of false doctrines that are extra-biblical, unbiblical or antibiblical such as almost a total disregard or absence of the consequences of sin and eternal damnation. I pray that those who are being deceived are given Spiritual Gifts, such as Discernment, Spiritual Wisdom and Spiritual Knowledge so they may not be mislead by these charlatans. Praise be to God and may God Strongly Rebuke the False Teachers! Amen

k0smon - there is not a plan that gives you a good life that gets better and better. This life as a Christian is riddled with persecution, trials and problems. Osteens selling snake oil and the snake was cursed and will end up in Hell, as will anyone duped to follow him instead of God's word. It alone has the Truth, and the truth is NOT what osteen preaches.

Wales, if Joel Osteen was giving the same message in a church of thirty people, would you still put him under a microscope? He openly admits that there are more qualified people in the area of knowledge of the Bible and God. He didn't go to a seminary or bible college. Quit hating on him...

i kept getting told i was chosen by physchics preachers etc for the longest time nothing ever happened at least not good anyway.

I will give you an example.....how many of us were told that the animals went into the Ark "two by two".....you have to read the Bible that it does not say that...I have listened, read and seen so many articles on Jews, Christians, Muslims, New Age, Wiccan, etc., just about anything you can imagine. Wiccans will tell you that they believe in a god, so is it the same god of the Christians/Jews? Of course not. Now you see that the distortion of the Gospel is very dangerous.

Yes, CultivateMind by no means do you think I always receive friendly mail, but it doesn't keep me from posting as long as I can. The mission of Christians is to spread the Gospel, not to distort it to my liking, but the Word of God. I don't force upon that you must believe, all I can do is to tell folks to carefully listen what is being said...too much of it, is called brainwashing. The anitchrist will come as a man of peace and deceived many...do you ever wonder how he is going to do it?

I personally believe that spreading the gospel means following it too. Once others see how we carry ourselves, once others see our success, then they will willingly want to know what we're doing. They will ask us.

However if we start telling people they are wrong, they will stand steadfast in their previously held beliefs and not believe a word we are saying. Nobody will ever learn anything they don't want to. IMO the best way to spread it is to practice it and let God do the rest.

I understand what you are referring to, but if the Gospel was told to 100 people only one converted to reading the Gospel, you can call it success because you had no one in the beginning. The missionaries are admirable folks to give their time to spread the Truth to those that don't know or know little. No doubt, you will have those that will stand firm and go against you because they think they are so smart and know it all. But that's when I let the Bible do the talking.
