I've recently read about this concept of slow, neutral, and fast oxidation (in terms of metabolism) that Jillian Michaels promotes. Do you think this is for real? For example, I'm supposed to be a slow metabolizer, and that means I'm supposed to eat 60% carbs (veg and whole grains), 25% protein, and 15% fat. Or do you think that just eating healthy in general is a more realistic approach to health vs. eating for your metabolism?

i love my egg white omelettes! I usually make them interesting with spinach, red peppers and a little bit of goat cheese with orange juice or skim milk on the side :) And on days when I'm in a rush, or don't feel like cooking, I just slice an apple over some Quaker Instant Oatmeal- the Low Sugar kind :)

Thanks for the reply Unfortunately it's medial joint line pain which means I have to unload the inner side of my knee. I'll have to stick to straight leg raising exercises and less flexion/extension and impact. Some physical therapy 3x/week for six weeks, passive/active ROM, ultrasound and electrical stim, ice and heat. Lol, I need Katrina.

Excellent! I bought dried fruit and nut trail mix and regular trail mix but it has m&m's inside; last week-end. lol. Oh well. I took a bag to work and have it in my desk. Sorry couldn't do the squatting jumps. I have medial joint line tenderness from too much walking. I guess I lost out on the girly bag huh?! lol
You could try slower squats, and it really helps if you make sure your knees are far away from going over your toes. I have bad joints from netball so in excersise classes i just do the squats half time and don't jump inbetween.
